Datta Seva Samiti successfully completed Shivkalin Pani Sathawan Yojana in Ajani and Shindkheda in Ner Taluka Groundwater is the main source of drinking water in rural areas. 85% of schemes in rural areas are based on groundwater. Such sources dry up due to the over-exploitation of groundwater and inadequate recharge. GoM, since the creation of this state, has adopted various measures for drinking water supply to rural and urban areas. It is, therefore, necessary to lay greater emphasis on strengthening the drinking water sources by recharge. To cover up all the measures, the government has sanctioned, the implementation of “Shivkalin Pani Sathwan Yojana” (Shivkalin Water Harvesting Scheme), providing for conventional and non-conventional measures for drinking ware source strengthening, rooftop rainwater harvesting, construction of storage tanks in the hilly areas of the villages for storage of rainwater.
Objectives
- The scheme for augmenting the availability of water for drinking and domestic use and strengthening Drinking Water Sources by utilizing Rainwater.

- Roof Top Rain Water Harvesting.
- Storage tank in Hard rock to arrest rainwater.
- Based on traditional wisdom and local knowledge innovative measures to be taken up based on scientific and technical know-how.
