Datta Seva Samiti is an empanelled District Resource Organization (DRO) NGO for Govt. of Maharashtra and Govt. of India’s IWMP – Watershed Development Program for drought-affecting areas.
Many parts of Maharashtra have been facing a grievous drought-like situation for the last consequent years. Water Conservation Program has become a flagship program to address this serious issue. As a part of this flagship mission, the Government has empanelled us to run a capacity-building training program/centre for people, villagers, officers, NGOs etc. involved in watershed management projects. As a District Resource Organization (DRO) we give capacity-building residential training to these entrants at our Datta Seva Samiti who does implement the watershed management programs at the grass-root level in more than 150 villages of Maharashtra.
